Style Will Show Giuliana Rancic's Breast Cancer Journey From The ...

giuliana and bill

The last three months of 2011 were definitely trying ones for Giuliana Rancic.

She discovered she had breast cancer, her initial treatments failed, and she went through with a double mastectomy.

A lot to take in!! We applaud her for going through all of it with the strength she had. Mastectomy wasn't the last resort yet, but she went ahead and chose it because life far outweighed anything else for her.

And her husband Bill was there by her side through all of it. Supporting her and loving her regardless.

A lot of people know the couple from their reality show on Style. And while this was a hard time to endure, they're going to air her journey anyways.

But she welcomes it, saying:

Since day one of our marriage, Bill and I have welcomed Style into our lives, from traveling with us to Italy for our wedding, to following our struggles to conceive. In 2011, we faced our scariest obstacle yet when I was diagnosed with breast cancer, but as we start 2012, I am focused on living in the present. Bill and I look forward to this new year of opportunity and good health and can?t wait to once again share our journey with the Style viewers.

Very well said, G!!

We support you! Glad you're recovering well, gurl!!

Corning to show off Gorilla Glass 2 at CES 2012

Gorilla Glass is tough, real tough. And it's got a solid reputation as a durable screen for small and large displays alike. But by no means is it perfect, and Corning has been hard at work to make the product's sequel even better. We're pretty dry on the details so far, but Corning SVP / GM James Steiner mentioned that his company's positioned to meet the challenge of accommodating phones and tablets with more functionality from thinner designs. We'll find out a lot more information about the latest version of the glass in an announcement this coming Monday at CES, so stay tuned as we find out the juicy tidbits.

2012 ASU Football Recruiting: Davante Bourque De-commits From LSU, Heading To Arizona State?

According to ASUdevils.com, running back Davante Bourque's Father has told them that his son has de-committed from LSU to reopen the recruiting process, dropping the Tigers total number of recruits to 21.

Bourque, a four-star prospect, is now setting his sights on a few other schools, such as Tennessee, Nebraska, Miami (FL), and Arizona State. His Father, Kirk Landry, says it's nothing against LSU, it's about making the best decision for Davante:

"Davante just felt it would be best to go somewhere else," Landry said. "He's not scared of any competition. It's about being smart. He said he's going to college to get his education and have a good time playing sports. He didn't think he would have any fun sharing time with all of those backs."

LSU already has a slew of sophomore running backs in Michael Ford (123 carries for 755, 7 TDs), Spencer Ware (174-700, 8 TDs) and Alfred Blue (78-539, 7 TDs), as well as true freshman Kenny Hilliard and Terrence Magee. I see his point.

"He's not upset or anything with LSU," Landry said. "That's how they run their program.

Bourque has already schedule an official visit to Tennessee for Jan. 13, with his visit to Miami the following weekend. Nebraska and Arizona State are trying to schedule him for the last recruiting weekend.

Gingrich embarks on final Iowa campaign push (AP)

DAVENPORT, Iowa ? Onetime Republican presidential frontrunner Newt Gingrich called on campaign rival Mitt Romney Tuesday to "just level with the American people" about his moderate political views.

Asked point-blank in a nationally broadcast network interview if he was calling the former Massachusetts governor "a liar," the former House speaker replied, "Yes."

In the interview on CBS's "The Early Show," Gingrich declined to predict he'd win Tuesday night's Iowa caucuses, but said "I don't think anybody knows who's going to get what right now." He said "I think anybody can come in first" because of a large number of Iowa voters who remained undecided on the day of the caucuses.

Of Romney, Gingrich was asked about previous statements he'd made accusing his opponent of lying. Gingrich assailed Romney for negative television ads that have hurt his standing in the polls, saying Romney has been disingenuous about large sums of money that a Super PAC has been spending on his behalf for the attack commercials.

"I just think he ought to be honest with the American people and try to win as the real Mitt Romney," Gingrich said. "He ought to be candid and I don't think he's been candid."

But when asked if he could support Romney if he became the party's nominee and runs against President Barack Obama, Gingrich answered affirmatively. "He would be much less destructive than Barack Obama," he said. "If you think Barack Obama is someone who is not a risk to the country's future, then that's somebody to vote for."

"I wish Mitt would just level with the American people and be who he really is and let's have a debate between a Massachusetts moderate and a real conservative," Gingrich said.

Briefly the frontrunner, Gingrich hoped for a respectable showing in the caucuses after being pounded by millions of dollars in attack ads.

The former House speaker was set to make an 11th-hour push for support as his campaign bus rumbles through eastern Iowa. He is scheduled to hold events in Muscatine and Burlington before he personally makes his case to a caucus gathering in Cedar Falls.

Gingrich rallied supporters in Davenport Monday night, urging them to help him pull off "one of the great upsets in the history of the Iowa caucuses." Earlier in the day he had all but conceded defeat, saying he didn't "expect to win."

Still, he is setting his sights on New Hampshire and South Carolina, where he pledged to wage a more aggressive effort to draw contrasts with Republican rival Mitt Romney, whom he has labeled a "Massachusetts moderate."

After emerging as a top GOP contender in early December, Gingrich saw his support falter as he was hit with a wave of tough ads painting him as an ethically-challenged Washington insider.

The ex-Georgia congressman has tried to cast himself as the conservative heir to former President Ronald Reagan, touting a supply-side economic plan of tax cuts and fewer regulations. But he has struggled to stay on message, blasting some of his GOP opponents even as he promised to wage a positive campaign.

"I believe I am the only person who has the range of experience necessary to fundamentally get this country back on the right track," he said.
